Nahid Hasan is a Bangladeshi visual journalist, documentary photographer, and filmmaker based in Dhaka. His work explores climate change, displacement, the environment, and human resilience across Bangladesh. Working through photography, documentary film, and multimedia storytelling, he documents communities navigating environmental change, migration, labor, and social transformation. His practice combines observational storytelling, field-based documentation, and long-term visual narratives that examine the relationship between people, place, and environmental uncertainty.
His visual practice combines rigorous documentary reporting with a poetic, observational approach, revealing the emotional landscapes that emerge where people, memory, and place intersect. Guided by a deep sense of social responsibility, he seeks not only to document lived realities but also to foster empathy and encourage dialogue around pressing social and environmental issues.
He pursued postgraduate studies in Visual Journalism at Ateneo de Manila University through a full scholarship from Konrad Adenauer Stiftung His work has been exhibited and published at national and international festivals, galleries, and media outlets. Nahid is a contributing photojournalist and video journalist for Pacific Press Agency (Philippines) and NurPhoto (Italy).
